Casa Bajo Congo is located in Cacique, within the Portobelo National Park, Panama's first protected park has an area of 35,929 hectares of tropical forests, mangroves, coral reefs, islands, and marine areas. It preserves the natural landscape, historical and cultural values of the area, to promote knowledge and enjoyment of values by communities. It protects the various tropical terrestrial and marine ecosystems of the region for educational, interpretive, and scientific purposes.
